PE Well Casing Pipe (Blank & Slotted)

Well casing holds the borehole wall after drilling, prevents collapse and controls where water enters the well from the aquifer. This product comes in two types: blank pipe for sections of the well that must be sealed, and slotted pipe placed against the aquifer so water enters through the slots.

Unlike steel casing, polyethylene does not rust, does not corrode in saline or aggressive water and releases no rust particles into the well. Its lower weight also makes transport and installation at the well site easier.

Casing diameter follows the drilled diameter and the pump size; the submersible pump must fit inside the casing with enough clearance. Wall thickness depends on well depth and the surrounding soil and water pressure, and deeper wells need a thicker wall. The diameter and thickness combinations are in the specification table.

Slot width and spacing must match the aquifer grading and the gravel pack around the casing, so water enters freely but sand does not. The slot specification is set at quotation based on drilling data and the well engineer's advice.

Casing bars are joined before entering the well and lowered slowly and centrally into the borehole. The jointing method is agreed at quotation according to diameter, depth and the drilling contractor's equipment. After installation, the annulus between casing and borehole is filled with gravel pack.
