What micro tubing is
Micro tubing, also called spaghetti tube, is a very thin, soft tube that carries water in a drip system from the lateral pipe or a dripper outlet to exactly the point you need. The Persian market name "macaroni pipe" comes from its long, thin shape.
It is used mainly where the plant is not right next to the lateral: trees planted away from the line, pots and greenhouses, flower beds and landscaping. With multi-outlet drippers it also splits one dripper's water between several points around the roots.
4 mm or 6 mm micro tubing?
4 mm is the most common size for connecting to drippers and multi-outlet drippers and for watering pots. 6 mm carries more water with less pressure loss and suits longer runs or higher flows.
The tube size must match the dripper outlet or fitting it connects to. If you are not sure, tell our sales team which dripper or fitting you use.
Installation and supply
Micro tubing is cut to length with scissors; one end is pushed onto the dripper outlet or onto a micro-tube connector on the lateral, and the other end is held next to the plant roots with a stake. Keep the pieces as short and as equal in length as you can so every plant gets the same amount of water.
