Where polymer valves are used on PE lines
Polymer valves are made for polyethylene pipelines and are used mostly in pressurised irrigation networks and on drinking-water branches. Their bodies do not rust, and they connect straight to PE pipe with compression ends.
The compression ball valve opens and closes with a quarter turn of the handle and is supplied with a metal or polymer handle, with compression at both ends or with one threaded end.

How is a PE ball valve installed?
With a compression joint: the pipe goes into the valve end and is sealed by tightening the nut. No welding is needed.
